Do you realize that we have a different society than we did in the late 90s? Somehow – the movie stands even today. The visuals, the plot, the themes, it’s so relevant.
If The Matrix dropped today, it would be colossal like it was then – but we would consider it more a realistic fiction than a far off sci fi.
Can you imagine how drastically different these films were to what was currently being produced? The vision of the producers, art dept, special effects, etc. Even down to the casting. So many things they got right.
Forever a favorite. To mention- its free on YouTube right now [the whole trilogy] and partly because of my YT Premium, but in any case its still available for you to watch!
It speaks of a society that embraced AI until it let the machines take over the consciousness.
