Our dear friend Jisbar is coming to San Francisco for Super Bowl! You have to get over there and see his art. I saw it at EDEN and I LOVE IT.

Jisbar’s art is full of beautiful affirmations, quotes, hidden easter eggs, and a wealth of charm and talent. This is EXACTLY what I wish I had on my walls at home. He has something for everyone and I really think he’s a wonderful person.

French pop-street artist JISBAR is presenting “Art of the Game,” a solo exhibition at San Francisco’s Gallery 444 (Jan 29-Feb 7) that intentionally coincides with Super Bowl week.

The show explores sport as cultural unifier through JISBAR’s signature remixing of classical iconography, pop culture, and street aesthetics—with a philanthropic component: the centerpiece work (Super bowl Mona lisa) will be auctioned with 100% of proceeds donated to Bay Area youth programs.

@Jisbar

Why this is interesting:

  • Artist using major sporting event as cultural context for exhibition
  • Gallery 444 was JISBAR’s first international representation (2016)—symbolic return
  • Sport-themed work that elevates beyond typical sports art
  • Charity auction model engaging Bay Area community
